To provide guidance and leadership to the commercial agenda by developing focus, consistency and capabilities across the division and customer teams. This is a key role that will be part of the strategic accounts leadership team and be the key link between commercial planning, strategy, performance management and customer teams. This role will require the management of multiple customers and be able to move seamlessly between commercial, channel and customer strategy.  As part of our overall channel strategy, this individual will be asked to help define the annual targets and commercial implications within channels, customers, and segments. The role will act as a key resource for the Director of Strategy and Performance Management on the Strategic Accounts Team. 

Financial Responsibilities
  • Develop AOP annual planning process in conjunction with finance team including account segmentation, budget and resource planning and financial prioritization.
  • Lead analytical work and output related to our Critically Important and Performance Ambition with a heavy focus on evaluating and unlocking options to drive sustainable market share.
  • Support SVP and Director with analytics associated with the development of 3-5 year Channel and Customer Strategy.
  • Assist in preparation of data and reporting for upcoming Demand Reviews, Leadership Team Meetings, Share Battleground Reviews and Quarterly BPMs.
  • Lead weekly communication against establish cadence to review financial customer performance with Strategic Accounts Leadership Team.
  • Drive accountability against established M&E process with Customer Teams. Communicate completed programming recaps to customers on Performance Management and Brand Teams.

Performance Planning Responsibilities
  • Build ongoing capabilities and communication strategy for all projects related to Share Planning at a Channel, Customer and Brand level across all Strategic Accounts.
  • Work with Operations Director and Manager on ongoing forecasting, communication and performance of innovation, VAP and allocated items.
  • Develop route to market strategies and on new to world offerings, incubator, accelerator and integration brands.
  • Creating the bridge between customer teams and performance management to ensure consistency in communication and messaging between customer and distributors.
  • Host weekly communication with Chain Development Directors to update on performance, brand and planning related information.
  • Coordinate and develop consistent connections with current Strategic Account SAMs to maintain consistent reporting suite across Strategic Accounts.
  • Partner with Director of Strategy and Performance Management to create correct routines between Performance Management and Customer Teams.
  • Facilitate quarterly performance conversations with brand teams to ensure ongoing awareness and gap closure to areas of opportunity and risk across the portfolio.
  • Provide commercial needs to ensure efficient program delivery (fit, form, function) to retail customers.

Experience:
  • Undergraduate and MBA preferred
  • Ideal candidate would have experience within Performance Management or has a high level of commercial understanding and RTM within Bev Alc or similar complex RTM portfolio.
  • Must have 5-7 years of cross functional commercial experience, with strong analytical and technical skills. IRI, Nielsen and similar Data Sources savviness.
  • Consistent track record of being able to lead and influence a wide array of senior collaborators.  This individual must be a self-starter.
  • Must be performance and process oriented and understand and apply interdependencies with other functions. Must know how to use and implement metrics to measure performance
  • Have advanced skills in analytics and data insights. Must understand and apply data analysis to drive effective portfolio strategies and business performance
  • Experienced in organizational skill development and application. Must know Diageo Products/history

Minimum Salary
$105,105.00

Maximum Salary
$175,175.00
