Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Associate Buyer, Hard Beverage to join our Merchandising team on-site in our Bethesda, MD office. In this role, you will support the Hard Beverage category-which includes seltzers, canned cocktails, and other ready-to-drink products-by managing supplier relationships, new item setup, pricing, and promotional execution. You will analyze sales and margin data, support assortment planning, and ensure flawless execution of programs in partnership with cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical, and highly collaborative environment with a passion for the evolving hard beverage space. You will
- Support the Manager, Hard Beverage, in managing supplier relationships and independently oversee assigned supplier accounts
- Manage the new item process from setup through launch, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with promotional and assortment strategies
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Pricing, Marketing, and Store Operations to ensure successful product execution and promotional readiness
- Analyze category sales, margin, and inventory performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; make data-driven recommendations to drive results
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to generate preorder quantities and ensure alignment with assortment and inventory strategies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and drive business results
- Responsible for managing display planning deadlines and execution for Hard Beverage items
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the category and merchandising team
You will come with
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field preferred
- 1-4 years' experience in buying, category management, or vendor management within retail, food, or beverage industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales and financial data
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with Power BI or other analytics tools preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for the beverage industry and an interest in consumer and category trends
