
Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketplaces to join our Digital team in our Bethesda, MD office. In this role, you will guide a team responsible for managing operations, driving business growth, and setting the strategic vision for our local same-day delivery service. Reporting to the Vice President of Delivery and Marketplaces, you will collaborate closely with marketing, technology, store teams, and vendors to launch, operate, and expand strategic business initiatives.
As the business owner of our delivery channel, a crucial enterprise initiative, you will play a key role in its success. We seek a highly analytical and entrepreneurial candidate with a strong background in operational leadership, retail growth and profitability, and shaping the strategic direction of omni-channel retail. The exempt compensation range for this position is $96,400 - $204,400. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience. You will
- Creating a vision, roadmap and plan for expanding, growing and improving Total Wine's delivery program
- Leading a team of 1-2 analysts to implement that plan and drive Total Wine's delivery business
- Identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis of key performance indicators, knowledge of industry best practices and familiarity with the competitive landscape
- Implementing and operating our last mile fulfillment and delivery strategy
- Owning relationships with service vendors and managing them to maintain high levels of performance
- Planning, launching and reporting on national ecommerce fulfillment activities
- Monitoring operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement
You will come with
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 7+ years of professional retail experience, with a track record of success in managing teams, projects, or functions within the digital marketplace space
- 5+ years of experience leading digital omni-channel initiatives
- 5+ years leading teams of 1-3 direct reports to successfully deliver large-scale projects, goals, and initiatives
- Exhibits advanced planning, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse team and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to provide strategic oversight, make impactful decisions, and lead cross-functional teams. Skilled at driving high-impact projects that influence broader organizational objectives
- Self-directed and highly driven with a strong business sense and professional presence
- Promotes a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Experience with ownership and management of business profits and losses, is preferred
