Total Wine & More is looking for a Senior Analyst, Loss Prevention & Safety to join our Loss Prevention & Safety team at our corporate office in Bethesda, MD. This position will play a pivotal role, supporting across the department with data collection, analysis, and identifying trends and patterns using SQL, PowerBI, Salesforce, and Excel. The ideal team member will be organized, responsible, and able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. The team member must display a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Senior Analyst, Loss Prevention & Safety will report to the Sr. Manager, Loss Prevention & Supply Chain Operations.

You will
  • Creates reports and dashboards that derive insights on LP KPI's
  • Identifies challenges, trends, and opportunities for improvement through data analysis to make strategic recommendations and solutions
  • Develops training material, reports, and presentations for Regional Vice President/District Manager meetings, Regional Sales Meetings, Local meetings and others
  • Create and distribute weekly and ad-hoc shrink reports
  • System Administrator for the Salesforce case management system
  • Assists VP, Sr. Managers, and Regional Directors, Loss Prevention (RDLP) with various long term and short-term LP projects, and manages deadlines and deliverables
  • Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources
  • Assesses market strategies by analyzing related products, markets, or trends
  • Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations
  • Summarizes shrink and safety data reports for review by manager
  • Design new data collection models to better collect information
  • Coordinate with IT department to implement new models
  • Write advanced data queries, leverage BI tools such as PowerBI, Microsoft SQL, Google Analytics, and Salesforce to build dashboards, trend analysis, ROI analysis, etc. to support prioritized business efforts


You will come with
  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience using PowerBI, SQL, Google Analytics, and Salesforce for data collection and manipulation
  • Experience using Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of exceptional confidentiality
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects within time constraints and within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of supporting multiple business leaders and stakeholders
  • Takes initiative to learn, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Treats others with honesty, fairness, and respect
  • 2-4 years previous experience working in a corporate or business environment, is preferred
  • Loss Prevention & Safety experience a plus, is preferred
