Total Wine & More is looking for a n Associate II, Benefits to join our HR department onsite in Bethesda, MD . You wil l play a key role in shaping our Benefits and Well-being programs while acting as a trusted advisor to employees and partners alike. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, you'll support initiatives that enhance our health and wellness programs and provide vital administrative support to ensure seamless operations. You will:

  • Perform payroll reconciliation, payroll audits, and weekly file transfer reviews, addressing issues as needed.
  • Respond to tier 1 team member inquiries, provide advocacy during new hire orientation, and ensure compliance with Qualified Medical Child Support Orders.
  • Support annual benefit open enrollment and act as a liaison between third-party administrators and employees for benefit-related matters.
  • Coordinate wellness programs, including communications and logistical support.
  • Manage various administrative tasks and contribute to benefits-related projects as delegated.


You will come with:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • B.A/B.S. in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
  • Less than one year experience in human resources preferred.
  • Basic experience supporting employee benefits, absence management, or other HR programs, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to assist employees with questions and provide clear, friendly guidance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for basic reporting and administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with employee benefits concepts and an ability to explain plan information in an understandable way.
  • Exposure to Workday or other HRIS systems, with a desire to develop further proficiency.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to support team efforts and ensure timely completion of tasks.

The exempt compensation range for this position is $62,64000 - $88,004. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience.
