Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant, Family Office to join our Finance team in our Bethesda, MD office. The Senior Tax Accountant will perform various tasks within its growing corporate income tax and family office functions to support Total Wine & More and its shareholders. Primary responsibilities include preparing income tax returns and supporting workpapers for both the company and its shareholders, responding to tax notices, and maintaining accounting books and records. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Tax.

You will

  • Prepare annual federal, state and local income tax returns and quarterly tax calculations for family office members, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations and special purpose entities
  • Prepare annual federal, state and local income tax returns and quarterly tax calculations for the company's partnership and Subchapter S legal entities
  • Support the day-to-day aspects of the corporate income tax and family office functions, including responding to tax notices, assisting with tax audits, and providing as-needed tax research assistance to the broader department and organization
  • Prepare and maintain accounting records, bank and investment reconciliations and other supporting information for family office members
  • Prepare personal financial statements, cash flow statements, budgets and ad hoc reports
  • Perform other tasks as assigned


You will come with

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4 years of income tax experience in public accounting, a corporate tax department or a single or multi-family office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced level of skill with Microsoft Excel

The exempt compensation range for this position is $53,600 - $114,400. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience.
