About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a talented Associate Buyer, Food & Other Beverage to join our Merchandising team in Bethesda, MD. You will drive sales and achieve margin targets while working with the stores, marketing, pricing and accounting departments. You will manage select supplier relationships and perform food and other beverage merchandising and promotional activity. Your work will involve cross-department collaboration. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to delve deep into the world of Food & Beverage. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Food & Other Beverage.

You will

• Work externally with suppliers and our teams to manage Beverage and Food items in our assortment, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Manage Food and Beverage wholesalers for soda and ice categories to ensure store replenishment and cost accuracy.
• Drive sales and achieve margin targets for the Food and Other Beverage category.
• Plan and communicate in-store and digital merchandising initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal partners on new store set ups and delivery schedules.
• Provide support in Merchandising projects as assigned.
• Work with internal and external partners on projects and establish clear goals for self and partners.

You will come with

• A Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of work experience in a Buying Department in Corporate for consumer goods business
• Experience in retail supply chain management or purchasing is a plus
• Basic Accounting skills and interest in performing accounting tasks
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel (can perform complex functions)
• Sales and Margin motivated; entrepreneurial
