Overview
The Director of Financial Governance Tools is responsible for leading the acquisition, configuration, training, and adoption of Tools that enable teams to manage their work, align their objectives and metrics, and understand their flow. The Director of Financial Governance Tools manages a Tools Enablement team who work directly with teams to help them adopt tooling standards and practices.

The Director of Financial Governance Tools is responsible for leading the acquisition, configuration, training, and adoption of Tools that enable teams to manage their work, align their objectives and metrics, and understand their flow. The Director of Financial Governance Tools manages a Tools Enablement team who work directly with teams to help them adopt tooling standards and practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Effectively collaborate with Portfolio leaders to craft strategies and plans for tool capabilities, training, and adoption across teams.
- Partner across Finance, OSM, Enterprise Technology, PMO, and Digital Portfolio Excellence teams to align on connected tooling strategy that enables transparency and traceability between investments and results.
- Responsible for technical administration of IT tools and establishment of standards (e.g. templates, workflows, features enabled/disabled, etc.) that support our evolving ways of working.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand constraints, needs, and opportunities as it relates to IT Tools in order to enable transparency, alignment, and agility.
- Coordinate and align on tooling practices and features that support management of portfolio work, portfolio roadmaps and alignment of metrics (e.g. KPIs and OKRs).
- Partner cross-functionally with leaders to enable transparency into key metrics and integrations with related systems where available.
- Develop education / coaching plans and support models to assist teams in the adoption of IT Tools standards.
- Tools Enablement Team Management: Own the talent strategy and build a high-performing Tools Enablement team; managing feedback/review, career development, and mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in managing IT Tool adoption, particularly in large scale organizations
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience with relevant Agile Tools including the Atlassian Tools Suite including Planview, JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, and similar industry tools.
- Experience partnering with finance and enterprise planning teams to align tooling and practices.
- Ability to translate Portfolio needs into actionable plans for tooling support.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, particularly growing and managing a teams in a matrixed environment
- Ability to scale tools/processes in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities between IT Tools adoption at scale, resource deployment, and capability growth
- Experience with JIRA and Planview

- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
